There are many ways to volunteer your time and talent here at Pathway! If you’re interested in the idea of volunteering your time but don’t think you have the skills or training necessary to make a difference, perhaps the stories below will inspire you. If you’ve got heart – you’ve got what we’re looking for.
Mary Stansell gathers information about each resident’s abilities, characteristics and personality. She scours the town, online and through her vast piles of scrap material to make a fantastic bedding creation that is tailored for each individual. Mary’s quilts are very high quality and will last a lifetime. Her genuine heart-work comes through in the masterpieces that can bring tears to anyone’s eyes. Recipients love snuggling into these works of art every night. Thank you Mary!
Brooke Sanders started P. Annie’s Secret Garden with the philosophy that all members of the community deserve access to clean produce. In the Spring of 2015, Pathway began it’s collaboration with Brooke to host gardens at its group homes. Brooke volunteers her time, supplies, and expertise to ensure a successful harvest at each of our gardens. She even teaches a monthly cooking class where she shares the harvest and encourages participants to try new delicious recipes! Thank you Brooke!
